THE YOUNGEST LECTURER IN TARABA STATE UNIVERSITY ADVICE YOUTH ON ELECTION
The youngest lecturer from Taraba State university has said that only a nation that devotes its resources on the development of it educational sector diligently, persistently and seriously can boast of secured future. She said this while attending to diamond blog reporter in her office recently.The mass communication graduate applauded the present administration of president Goodluck for multiple creation of 14 federal university across the nation added that creation of more university could not only provide job for the jobless youth but will highly minimized the rate of semi-illiteracy in the country.
Born to Garba Shamaki, A renowned politician and a Business man in southern Taraba State, Tinyang who graduate from Benham University at the age of 20 decry the perpetual insensitivity of ASUU and Government toward the fate of Nigeria youth. “A protracted war of attrition between academics in the ivory towers and the president Jonathan which began just before mid-way into the four-year spam of the administration continued event almost to the end with the university education at the receiving end”. She said that at the end of such confrontation, the youth and their parent remain the loser. “in such war of attrition, we both knew the “winners” and the “loser”, suffice me to state that our young men in the university and polytechnic institution including vicariously, their parents and guardians were the main loser”
The present administration amidst several other achievements was characterized by strike leading to shut down of schools. Past government negotiators in agreement reached with ASUU which created an impression that a new lease of life was about coming to the university system set the stage for the long incessant ASUU strike experienced last year. Government saw some of the demand from ASUU as unrealistic, repudiating and rejecting a lot of them.
Speaking on the coming election, the potential professor of mass communication advised the youth to take the advantage of coming election and vote for their future stressing that the youth should shun sentiment and refuse to be manipulated by desperate politician. Tinyang Rimamnyang stated that “in responsible and discipline democracy, which had some minimum regard for education as a tools for national development, whoever happen to be vote to power comes march 28 should plan on how to tackle this unfolding education’s woe proactively. This time around education deserves more dividends of democracy, rather than arm-twisting and lack of sensitivity by government”
