PDP CHAIRMAN TARABA STATE CHAPTER ASKED CITIZEN TO IGNORED RUMOURS MONGERS

Taraba state chairman of the people Democratic party(PDP) Honorable Bala Victor Kona said while addressing some groups of journalist today in Jalingo that the party was committed to discouraging thuggery, rigginmg and banditry in the coming elections. Through this media report, the PDP Chairman want to assure the mass that the party is fully ready to cooperate with all machinery put in place by National Election commission (INEC) to realized peaceful election. He commended the leadership of INEC for postponing the election to ensure that voters who are yet to collect their PVC should do so before the Election Day, adding that the commission was “living up to its responsibilities of conducting election as well as providing a level playing field for our nascent democracy”.
Mr Victor also reacted to rumors been spread by some individual within the state that president Jonathan had withdrawn his support for Darius Dickson and was planning to replace him with a new candidate. “Some people don’t have job. It is laughable for someone to sit down and cook lie to mar the popularity of someone who is well known and accepted by the party and Taraban at large. Although the report could be view as a mere speculation, however, since it has raised issue that is fundamental to our party, the need to react to it becomes imperatives. There is no doubt that the story comes from all intents and purpose, it is a planted one, aimed at a cheap mischief”

The rumors came from another rumors evolve from unconfirmed success that president Goodluck had decided to show General TY Danjuma the other side of the coin, because the general order the president to arrest those Niger Delta militant who threated to destroy his investment if the president turn the victim of the political battle this year. “we have no such an idea. DDI is not a Danjuma candidate as some people believed. He is PDP candidate as the result; he is a candidate for everybody in taraba state”. The chairman urge the mass to vote for PDP and ignore those who are already frustrated in the political battle and seems to had found succor in dirty politics of lie and character assassination.

A Nigerian journalist with DW Radio Service, Germany, Faruk Muhammad Yabo shared the sad story on Facebook: "The story of this under-aged Maimuna an orphan of Birnin ruwa village in sokoto who was raped, impregnated and abandoned by one Alhaji Giwa of the same village as accused, is very touchy.  Maimuna who is 8 month pregnant, has nobody to cater for her pregnancy in this very young age. Former President Jonathan said during his reception in Bayelsa yesterday that before he became deputy governor of the state, he had no interest in politics. Narrating how he dabbled into politics, Jonathan said, “It all started with me and Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha. I knew Alamieyeseigha when he wanted to contest the governorship of Bayelsa State under the defunct United Nigeria Congress Party. That was the first time I knew Alamieyeseigha. We formed groups in every local governments – two persons to sign petition to enable Alamieyeseigha to contest. But a late Chief Judge asked me and one person from Ogbia to sign the petition.
