Think Vancouver. Think FIC and SFU Why Canada? Canada is becoming an increasingly popular destination for secondary school graduates to continue their studies. One of the most popular Canadian schools among Nigerian students is Simon Fraser University. Why Simon Fraser University? Simon Fraser University is ranked among the top schools in Canada and has been ranked in the top 100 in the world in both Computing Science and Business.
It is a large university with eight faculties and over 25,000 students and in the 2015/16 Academic year is celebrating 50 years. The university prides itself on its community engagement and is also a research intensive university. Alongside an excellent reputation the university also offers students excellent facilities and students are able to apply for on-campus residence with an unlimited meal plan available 24 hours a day.

Why FIC?
Fraser International College is located on the campus of Simon Fraser University and provides pathway programs for international students leading to the second year of a university degree at SFU. The college provides a supportive environment where students are able to adjust to the rigors of the Canadian education system and adapt to living in a new country.

Work during Studies!
SFU has an extensive Co-op program which enables students to apply for paid professional work placements during their studies. This means students are able to graduate not only with a highly regarded degree but also valuable work experience which will strengthen their resume when they apply for jobs in the future. In Canada, international graduates are able to apply for the Post-Graduation Work Permit program, which allows graduates to work for three years in Canada after completing their degree.

Weather worries?
For those students worried about the weather in Canada, Simon Fraser University is located in Vancouver on the Pacific Coast of Canada and offers a mild-climate all year round.
