General T Y Danjuma
Lt. Gen. Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (Rtd.) GCON is the Chairman and Founder of the TY Danjuma Foundation. He is from Takum Local Government area in Taraba State. Lt. Gen. Danjuma had an illustrious career in the Nigerian army retiring as Chief of Army Staff. He has also held top advisory positions to previous and the current president of Nigeria as Chairman of Presidential Advisory Councils. Lt. Gen. TY Danjuma is an astute successful businessman and philanthropist. It is his impressive track record of philanthropic giving that culminated in the establishment of the TY Danjuma Foundation.


General TY Danjuma,  Elder Statesmen, Administrator, Politician, Philanthropist, dog fighter per excellent, born on july 22 1923 in Takum Local Government, Taraba state to a Chamba man as a Father and to Kuteb woman as a Mother. General Danjuma is qualifies as the soul and conscience of Nigeria. Unsung hero of Nigeria’s democracy, dogged fighter, activist and a warlord; he gave himself out for the survival of a country called Nigeria. Nigeria would remember him for his wit and wisdom. He would also be remembered beyond his flaming and silvery hair strands, which betray his octogenarian status, but also for his intimidating political credentials, integrity and high sense of responsibility with which he discharged his duty as a military officer. General Danjuma, it would say, count among the few Nigerians who would not bow to narrow interest   of some political egomaniac. His political svelte, suzerain and swashbuckling zest culminated in healthy and intellectual debates on the floor of national unity. He is also credited with having passionately re-engineered a national political consciousness that contributed in the speedy dismantling of all alien political structure in the national polity. The Iroko seem to have come home to perform his statesman duty in Taraba after several years of silent. who can tell the fate lied ahead of his godson as the battle between PDP, APC and SDP is so severe.

shocking!: Under-aged orphan allegedly raped and impregnated by an Alhaji in Sokoto State

A Nigerian journalist with DW Radio Service, Germany, Faruk Muhammad Yabo shared the sad story on Facebook: "The story of this under-aged Maimuna an orphan of Birnin ruwa village in sokoto who was raped, impregnated and abandoned by one Alhaji Giwa of the same village as accused, is very touchy.  Maimuna who is 8 month pregnant, has nobody to cater for her pregnancy in this very young age. She is now helpless her father died since, and the person accused of impregnating her denied before the upper sheri'a court in sokoto, but Maimuna insisted that Alhaji Giwa as accused, was the only one who impregnated her.   The two witnesses from the same village have attested before the court that Alhaji Giwa even told them that he will take Maimuna to a specialist for abortion, but later changed his mind. Former President Jonathan said during his reception in Bayelsa yesterday that before he became deputy governor of the state, he had no interest in politics. Narrating how he dabbled into politics, Jonathan said, “It all started with me and Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha. I knew Alamieyeseigha when he wanted to contest the governorship of Bayelsa State under the defunct United Nigeria Congress Party. That was the first time I knew Alamieyeseigha. We formed groups in every local governments – two persons to sign petition to enable Alamieyeseigha to contest. But a late Chief Judge asked me and one person from Ogbia to sign the petition.
