THE DAY I CHEATED DEAD FROM BOKO HARAM’ BLAST   It was sure astounding beholding a beautiful city that looks almost unNigeria when as a new comer I went into the city of Maiduguri in the year 2006. The city which according to history became the seat of power in 1967 as the northwest state before the creation of Borno state in 1976 is a piece of elegance, order, neatness and planning. The streets of Maiduguri lined with endless rows and wheel-paved lanes show a carefully structured city with a good sense of aesthetics and orderliness. Compared with other cities in Nigeria, Maiduguri looks extraordinary and portrays what a normal city should be. In addition to the beauty, the city was truly the epitome of peace and hospitality. The rescued 293 females are not from Chibok - Dr. Mohammed Bulama

  Borno state govt says profiling of the 293 females rescued from Sambisa forest yesterday April 28th shows that they are from Damboa local government and not from Chibok as was highly speculated. Speaking with newsmen in Maiduguri today April 29th, the state Commissioner for Information, Dr. Mohammed Bulama, say the rescued females are from Bumsiri village in Damboa Local government area and were all kidnapped from the village by the sect members. "These girls and women rescued are still our daughters as much as the Chibok girls and we have to commend the military for liberating them, hoping that the rest will equally be liberated. Though everyone had thought they were the Chibok girls because of the hype surrounding the abduction of the girls, but we should not lose sight of the fact that they are as important as the Chibok girls and those that are still in captivity, which we hope would be liberated soon.
